Robots and AI is developed rapidly in the recent years. Study shows this could impacts greatly in human relationships. This will contribute to a decline in marriage rates, though this is a complex issue involving both economic and social factors. 

Economic Factors

• Changing Economic Opportunities: Research indicates that in regions with higher exposure to industrial robots, the gender income gap may decrease, potentially reducing the relative economic standing of men. This shift in economic dynamics has been linked to a decline in marriages and an increase in divorce and cohabitation rates.
• Unemployment Concerns: Experts have warned that the mass unemployment potentially caused by automation could also lead to a reduction in marriage rates and “erosion of family ethics”. 

Social and Personal Factors

• Alternative Companionship: The advancement of AI and humanoid robots offers new forms of companionship that may compete with human relationships.
  • Unconditional Love and Predictability: Some people might prefer AI partners because they can offer unconditional “love,” predictable behavior, and conflict-free interactions. • Digisexuality: A growing trend known as “digisexuality” describes people who are sexually and romantically attracted to digital or AI-based beings, a trend that could become more common as technology advances.
• Legal Challenges: As demand for human-robot intimate relationships increases, it poses a challenge to current family law frameworks, which generally do not legally recognize marriage with a non-human entity.
• Focus on Individual Fulfillment: The potential for a highly customizable, always-available AI partner suggests a future where people might achieve a greater sense of independence from the commitment and challenges of a human spouse. 

In summary, while the full societal impact of widespread humanoid robot use is yet to be seen, existing studies and expert opinions suggest a potential negative influence on traditional marriage rates due to economic disruption and the availability of new forms of companionship and individual fulfillment outside of human marriage.
